NEW YORK Rapp Collins Worldwide has hired WestWayne's Scott Hagedorn as senior vice president, chief interactive officer.
In the newly created post, Hagedorn, 34, will lead the Omnicom Group shop's 45-person interactive staff in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. (Interactive employees previously reported to the managing director of each office.)
He will oversee Rapp Collins' digital new business efforts in North America and development of online components of integrated programs for clients like SunTrust Banks, DirecTV and Hyatt Hotels.
He will be based in New York and Dallas, splitting time between the two offices, and will report to Bob Horvath, president of direct marketing at Rapp Collins.
Hagedorn joins Rapp Collins from WestWayne, which he joined in May 2002 when the shop bought breatheinteractive, an integrated marketing group he co-founded in 2001. At WestWayne, he served as executive vice president, director of technology-based marketing and managing partner of breatheinteractive.
That was Hagedorn's second tour of duty at the Atlanta-based independent; he started his career there in 1994 and rose to vice president, senior brand planner before leaving to become vice president of communications at Mpower Communications in Atlanta in 1999.
