Internet service provider Qwest broke a series of new TV spots this week that promote its free Wi-Fi offering, while pointing out that cable companies don’t offer such complimentary services.

The campaign premiered in select markets, including Denver, Colorado Springs, Minneapolis, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Portland, Eugene, Spokane, Albuquerque and Tucson. In several of the spots, people are shown dealing with ridiculously precarious circumstances as the result of not having free Wi-Fi.

In one ad, for example, a woman is forced to perform community service for stealing Wi-Fi.
