Publicis Groupe's organic growth in the fourth quarter of 2010 rose 12.5 percent, in large part due to the performance of its operations in North America. The Paris-based agency said on Thursday (Feb. 10) that revenue also increased by 20 percent to $7.4 billion.
“North America achieved a remarkable turnaround, posting growth of 9.9 percent in 2010, after strong resilience in 2009, thanks to the high contribution of digital services to the region’s revenue,” the company said.
In 2010, Publicis' digital business accounted for 42.6 percent of North America’s revenue. Overall, the digital business within the agency accounted for 28 percent of total revenue in 2010, compared with 22.4 percent in 2009.
Last year, organic growth increased 6 percent in Europe, 7 percent in Asia Pacific, 13.7 percent in Latin America, and 4.8 percent in Africa and the Middle East.
Looking to the year ahead, Publicis said it would continue to prioritize expansion of its digital operations and would focus on high-growth economies. The holding company plans to double the size of its business in China, while reinforcing its market position in India and Latin America.
