Paris-based Publicis Groupe has acquired digital agency Nurun from Quebecor Media in a $115 million deal.

Since its inception in 2000, Nurun has swiftly grown into one of the world's leading digital networks. The Montreal-based company has spread to 11 offices across Canada, the U.S., Italy, France, Spain and Southeast Asia that employ some 1,100 staffers.

Nurun works for the likes of Adidas, Google, Home Depot, L'Oréal, Sony, Tesla Motors and Walmart. An innovator in digital design, products, platforms and interfaces, the company's revenue reached $128 million in 2013.

Nurun president and CEO Jacques-Hervé Roubert said his team will benefit from Publicis Groupe's clout in the field of digital communications.
