PJA Promotes O'Toole to President

BOSTON Independent technology and healthcare shop PJA in Cambridge, Mass., has named Mike O'Toole president. Phil Johnson, agency founder, assumes the role of CEO.

O'Toole joined PJA 12 years ago and had been evp, partner, playing a key role in building the shop into one of New England's most successful business-to-business players. Among his accomplishments, he helped guide PJA's successful expansion into San Francisco and oversaw the agency's acquisition of interactive capabilities.

Said Johnson: "PJA has committed to an aggressive plan to increase our national presence. Mike O'Toole provides the leadership we need to achieve those goals."

PJA claims approximately $70 million in overall billings. Clients include Novell, Trend Micro, GE Healthcare, Boston Scientific and Akamai, among others.

Last month, the agency added Infor, a software firm in Alpharetta, Ga., that specializes in enterprise asset management, planning and supply-chain products. Though it has kept a low profile, the client generates $2.2 billion in annual revenue and ranks among the world's largest applications providers.
