Peter Naylor is the the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s first publisher-in-residence.
The longtime digital sales executive, who left NBCUniversal last month, has been tapped to serve in a new consulting role within the IAB, where he’ll help the organization think through the biggest challenges facing its member publishers as the digital industry rapidly evolves.
Randall Rothenberg, the IAB’s president and CEO, compared the role to Entrepreneur-in-Residence jobs at various venture capital firms. “Peter’s wealth of leadership experience, not to mention his longstanding commitment to IAB initiatives, makes him an incredibly valuable resource,” Rothenberg said.
Naylor, who served as chairman of the IAB’s Board of Directors from February 2012 through February 2013, is looking to provide the organization with an insider’s point of view. The 12-year vet is volunteering his time at the IAB as he decides on his next digital media gig. “I hope to add value to the IAB and the member companies because I walk in their shoes and understand their challenges,” Naylor said.
