Andrew McLean is out as the U.S. CEO of Omnicom Media Group’s PHD unit and is being replaced by Monica Karo, who was previously OMD’s president, integrated accounts.

McLean assumed the role at PHD just 16 months ago, joining the company from WPP’s GroupM media network where he was worldwide chief business development officer. He could not be reached for comment and an OMD rep declined to elaborate on the circumstances of his departure. McLean, whose management style is said to have conflicted with those around him at PHD, has left the company and Karo’s appointment is effective immediately.
