Russia took silver, and China bronze. (SocialTimes) Men Are Posting About Olympics Brands on Social Media Twice as Often as Women Research from Sprinklr shows that Summer Olympics sponsors have seen a total of 70,769 mentions on social media, and men are mentioning these brands significantly more than women. Samsung, Coca-Cola and McDonald's are seeing the best results on Twitter, while hashtags from Omega and Visa have performed extremely well. (Adweek) NBC Olympics Torched Its Monday Night Competition Linear viewership was down from both 2012 and 2008 for NBC's Monday night Olympics coverage, according to final live plus same-day numbers. However, average prime time minute viewing across broadcast, cable and digital from Monday came in at 31.5 million total viewers, 2.6 million more than the original prime-time average on linear.
