NEW YORK Ogilvy & Mather New York chief operating officer Michelle Bottomley is leaving to become chief marketing officer at Barclaycard U.S., the agency confirmed today.

Bottomley has spent 11 years at OgilvyOne and Ogilvy, and last fall shifted from co-president of the New York office to COO after co-president Andy Berndt left to become managing director of Google Creative Lab.

Ogilvy is not expected to fill the COO’s slot. Rather, Carla Hendra, North American co-CEO and chairman of New York operations, will likely absorb her duties.
