NuVision Optical in Flint, Mich., sent out requests for proposals last week for its $3 million advertising account, currently handled in-house, sources said.

Among agencies believed to have been contacted by the optical retailer are Fitch Advertising and BK&M, both in Ann Arbor, Mich.; Simons Michelson Zieve and KBD, both in Troy, Mich.; and Mars Advertising, Southfield, Mich.

Agencies will present credentials at NuVision’s headquarters within the next several weeks, according to sources, while second-round presentations will be made at the agencies.

Officials at NuVision, owned by American Vision Centers, could not be reached for comment.
