LOS ANGELES The senior manager for Nissan marketing is leaving the automaker to join Toyota, according to sources.

Kim McCullough announced her departure this morning, according to sources. She is expected to fill the position at Toyota vacated by Deborah Wahl Meyer, former corporate manager of marketing communications at the Torrance, Calif., automaker, who moved within the corporation to lead Lexus marketing.

Neither McCullough nor Toyota could be immediately reached for comment.

McCullough was associated with the positioning of the Nissan Quest in 2003 toward active women and away from “soccer mom” stereotypes.
