Nissan North America will audit its media account, vp of marketing Steve Wilhite said last week. Omnicom’s OMD in Playa del Rey, Calif., handles media buying for the client. Wilhite said the audit does not reflect disenchantment with OMD or the creative agency, Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey. Last year, Nissan spent about $800 million on ads through October, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
