Mullen Taps Client Service Chief

BOSTON Mullen, which moved its headquarters here a little more than a week ago, has named former Fallon group account director Alex Leikikh to the new position of managing partner, director of account service.
 
Leikikh becomes the tenth member of Mullen's executive committee.
 
Agency CEO Joe Grimaldi called Leikikh "a proven leader" who has demonstrated the ability to develop solid business relationships with clients.
 
Leikikh said he hopes to leverage the agency's broad range of offerings -- from broadcast and print to CRM and social media -- to "tell this story in a
modern way."
 
At Fallon, the Publicis Groupe shop in Minneapolis, he worked on United Airlines and BMW, among others.
 
Indeed, his arrival at IPG's Mullen comes during a time of transition, and not just owing to the 300-person agency's move to downtown Boston from manor house digs in rural Wenham, Mass.
 
Like many of its competitors, Mullen has struggled of late. It has been sluggish on the new business front while bidding farewell to several clients including -- just yesterday from its Winston-Salem, N.C. office -- T.J. Maxx, which chose WPP's Grey following a review in which Mullen did not defend.
