Mindshare has reached into Digitas to find a chief strategy officer for North America.
Jordan Bitterman, who most recently was the North American lead for social, mobile and content at Digitas, will join Mindshare in about two weeks.
At his new agency, Bitterman will work closely with key clients and contribute to new business efforts. More specifically, he'll drive digital, content and communications planning and focus on industry partnerships and emerging technology, according to Mindshare. The position is new.
Bitterman also is known as co-founder of Digitas' NewFront, a forerunner to the digital marketing industry's annual content NewFronts. He's considered a thought-leader on topics ranging from Facebook to Pinterest.
In a statement, Mindshare global CEO Nick Emery described Bitterman as a "rare and exceptional talent," adding that in his new role he will "harness distribution, content and technology to put real time adaptive solutions at heart."
Bitterman spent eight years at Digitas, a unit of Publicis Groupe. Earlier in his career, he held media roles at Foote, Cone & Belding, Modem Media and Ammirati Puris Lintas.
