NEW YORK Merisant is talking to three undisclosed shops regarding its estimated $15 million Equal advertising account, a company representative said. A decision is due in April.

The Chicago-based company was one of at least seven clients left in the lurch when Wolf Group Integrated Communications in Toronto shuttered its New York office in January.

Several clients, including the estimated$80 million Scotts Co. and estimated $10 million CIT Group accounts, followed Wolf Group New York creative director Mike Rogers to a new shop, temporarily called MLRogers.
