Coleen Kuehn has joined Publicis Groupe’s MediaVest USA as president of strategy and planning, the agency has confirmed.

The well-regarded Kuehn, a 20-year industry veteran, was most recently evp and chief strategist at Havas’ MPG, where she led North American strategic planning and development.

Previously, Kuehn served as president of digital operations at MediaCom, followed by a stint as executive director of client services and strategy. Kuehn also held brand management roles at both American Express and Coca-Cola.

In her new role, Kuehn will oversee MediaVest’s strategy and communications planning. That role had previously been held by Lisa Donohue, who was promoted to CEO of sister agency Starcom USA in May 2009.

Kuehn reports to MediaVest CEO Bill Tucker, who said about the new hire: “Coleen is a remarkable talent, leader and strategist whose marketing, media, client brand management and digital experience make her uniquely suited to lead this critical area.”
