Cathy Saidiner, president of McCann Erickson’s L.A. office since November 2008, has resigned from the agency.

She joined McCann in late 2008 from TBWA\Chiat\Day where she was global account director for Pioneer Electronics. She started at the Omnicom agency in 2000 after serving in marketing posts at both Mars and Nissan Infiniti.

Nestlé is one of McCann L.A.’s largest clients, with brands like Coffee-Mate and Nesquick, and Saidiner has been a key U.S. client contact. Other brands at McCann L.A. include LifeLock and IHOP.

A McCann rep described the parting of ways as “very amicable” and said there will be an orderly transition in top management at the agency. Richard Donohoe, svp, group director at McCann N.Y., will become managing director of the Interpublic agency’s L.A. office. Donohoe has been the lead account exec on the agency’s Nestlé water business.

Separately, the McCann rep said rumors about the imminent exit of McCann Worldgroup chief executive Nick Brien are “absolutely untrue.”
