LOS ANGELES M&C Saatchi has buried $500,000 on a little-known island and created a treasure-themed campaign and sweepstakes to help people remember its name: Curacao, which it has also dubbed the “hidden treasure of the Caribbean.”

Created by M&C Saatchi’s Los Angeles office, the centerpiece of the Curacao Tourist Board campaign is a site (www.curacaotreasure.com/) supported by TV, print, direct mail and Web drivers (banners, search, an iPhone application).

Ten finalists will be picked from the Web entrants to fly to Curacao to look for the buried loot.
