LOS ANGELES Mazda North American Operations said Monday that Brian Colianni has been named to the newly created position of svp, sales and marketing. Colianni was previously MNAO’s vp, customer service and parts operations.

Prior to joining MNAO in February 2004, Colianni was global business strategy and planning manager for Ford’s customer service division. Replacing Colianni is Shusuke (Kory) Koreeda, who previously was Irvine, Calif.-based MNAO’s vp of product marketing.

Mazda spent $265 million on measured media in 2004, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
