Martin/Williams Jumps Into iPool B-to-B Account

CHICAGO--iPool Corp. has named Martin/Williams Advertising its agency of record.
The Roseville, Minn., company uses the Internet to "pool" consumers looking for services such as auto insurance or telephone service to negotiate better rates. The majority of the account will be business-to-business marketing, though the Minneapolis agency will also provide strategic marketing and Web site design and production. Billings were not disclosed.
"We wanted to work with an agency that offered a mix of capabilities," said Julie Sullivan, the company's vice president of marketing. She said company officials were impressed with M/W's work for other dot-com clients, such as Target.com, Zonetrader.com and Rooster.com.
