ATLANTA Henderson Advertising said that it has acquired Mainline Marketing Communications, a South Carolina-based public relations company founded in 1997 by Kristie Bohm.

Ralph Henderson, president and chief executive officer of Greenville, S.C.-based Henderson, said the merger would bring "an existing client roster and public relations leadership." Mainline lists Softlab (a BMW company), Taylor-Made Adidas Golf, Deloitte & Touche and Slazenger Golf Products as clients.

In the six years since the founding of Mainline, its staff has grown from one to six, said Bohm. She added that she chose to join Henderson to offer broader skills and specialized services to her clients.

"Joining forces with Henderson allows us to bring meaningful marketing communications programs to our clients," Bohm said. "Helping to grow Henderson's public relations practice is an exciting challenge."

Mainline staffers will move into Henderson's offices later this month, the shop said. Bohm will assume the role of vice president and managing director of Henderson Public Relations. Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.
