Bill Kolb, global president and COO of CRM/digital agency MRM, has been named CEO of the McCann Worldgroup unit.
He takes over from Marc Landsberg who joined the Interpublic unit last year as both chief executive of MRM and as president of corporate business development for McCann Worldgroup. Landsberg will now focus all of his attention on Worldgroup’s corporate strategic development and acquisition initiatives. Kolb’s transition to the CEO role will occur over the next few months, after which Landsberg will become non-executive chairman of MRM.
Kolb has been in his current job since 2007, working closely with many of MRM’s largest clients like General Motors, Verizon, Dell, and Johnson & Johnson. Prior to that role, he was CFO, COO at MRM and before that, he was global president and COO of Worldgroup’s Momentum unit. Before joining Worldgroup, Kolb was president of global retail strategy group IMS.
