BOSTON King Arthur Flour has hired independent Kelliher Samets Volk as its lead agency following a review.

Digital Flannel in Woodstock, Vt., had previously worked on the business, which is based in Norwich, Vt.

KSV in Burlington, Vt., will mainly handle print ads and package design, with the new efforts slated to appear in the fall. Spending was not disclosed but King Arthur — which has been produced for more than 200 years — typically spends at most $1 million annually in measured media, though through the years its advertising output has been sporadic and the business has shifted several times.

Despite the modest budget, the win is important for KSV because of the brand’s national reputation and dedication to a socially responsible business model, said agency president Tim Volk.
