Pernod Ricard’s shift of global creative duties on Kahlua to TBWA came after a pitch against fellow roster shops Euro RSCG and Publicis, whose London office was the incumbent on the business, sources said.

Global media spending on the brand was not immediately available. In the U.S. — Kahlua’s largest market in terms of spending and sales — expenditures totaled $14 million last year, according to Nielsen. That figure doesn’t include online outlays.

Omnicom Group’s TBWA will run the account out of its New York office, known as TBWA\Chiat\Day.
