Peter Sherman has made a big impression in just four months as CEO of JWT's New York office—so much so that he has now been promoted.

Sherman assumes the role of North American CEO, succeeding David Eastman, who's leaving the agency after five years. At the same time, a key account leader, Claire Capeci, has become managing director of New York.

Previously, Capeci was a global business director on accounts such as Macy's and Energizer. She'll continue to lead those accounts as she adds oversight of the New York headquarters.

Likewise, Sherman will continue to play a leading role in New York, even as he picks up responsibilities for JWT's offices in Atlanta, Chicago and Toronto.
