JWT has found a new head of analytics for North America.

Amy Avery, the former head of data and analytics at Proximity BBDO, succeeds the retiring Ira Helf. At her new shop, Avery reports to Robin Bardolia, chief strategy officer for North America.

Avery had spent nearly four years at Proximity, working her way up to her last position—a North American role that she assumed last spring. Earlier in her career, she worked at agencies such as JWT direct marketing unit JWT/RMG Connect, DotGlu and Grey.

In making the hire, Bardolia cited Avery's combination of "technical excellence" and "strong business and brand acumen."
