How do Americans spend Thanksgiving weekend? Not necessarily in giving thanks, at least not to a religious deity. Averaging data from 2003 through 2007 for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday immediately following Thanksgiving Thursday, a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics finds 13 percent of people age 15 and older saying they engage in “religious and spiritual activities” in the course of those days. Those who do so spend an average of 1.7 hours per day at it.
