Bill Koenigsberg, CEO and founder of independent Horizon Media, has been named chairman of the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ Media Policy Committee. Additionally, in June, Koenigsberg will join the 4A’s board of directors as a director-at-large.

Koenigsberg (pictured) succeeds Marc Goldstein, a three-term incumbent who departed from WPP’s GroupM North America, where he was CEO, at the end of March to establish his own media marketing consultancy.
 
The 4A’s Media Policy Committee assesses major communications issues and suggests when the organization should take public positions on issues.
