Former Shops Are Unlikely to Participate
BOSTON--Contenders are expected to emerge this week in the review for the $10 million advertising account of HomeRuns.com, the home grocery delivery service.
Judy Neer, a consultant with Pile and Co., Boston, which is overseeing the review process, confirmed that a list of agencies is close to being finalized.
Both creative development and media chores are in play, Neer said.
Neither Holland Mark Edmund Ingalls, Boston, which handled the business in the late-1990s, nor Boston startup Connelly & Partners, which of late has worked on projects for the client, have been invited to participate, Neer said. PGR Media, Providence, R.I., which has recently handled placement chores, is also not taking part, she said.
Connelly president Steve Connelly, whose shop has crafted radio and print ads for the client, confirmed that he is not involved. Officials at Holland Mark and PGR did not return calls.
The client, in Somerville, Mass., is seeking an agency to help tout its plans for expansion, Neer said. In February, the client announced a major expansion into new markets driven by a $100 million investment from Cypress Group, a private equity firm in New York. K
