Gotham has hired freelance broadcast producer Letitia Jacobs to assume the new position of head of content.

Jacobs, 38, will manage the 16 staffers in the Interpublic Group shop’s production department. She’ll also serve as a partner to chief creative officer Marty Orzio.

“Letitia has all the taste and passion for production details one could ask for,” said Orzio, to whom she reports. “She has unbelievable leadership skills to evolve a nurturing culture and she has great relationships within the production community.”

In her seven years of freelancing, she has worked for agencies such as The Martin Agency, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Mother and most recently mcgarrybowen (on the November launch campaign behind Verizon’s Droid phone).
