NEW YORK–Gotham has landed creative and media duties for AOL Moviefone and is expected to launch its first work–a campaign wrapped around a theater ad–in April. Billings are estimated at $10 million.
Previously, the account was at New York shop Mad Dogs and Englishmen, whose last work featured animated characters such as “Mr. Hotdog” and “Ms. Candy.” Gotham was selected, in part, due to its existing relationship with AOL, one of its largest clients. (AOL purchased Moviefone, a movie ticket buying service that also provides show times, in 1999.)
