Go Welsh Is Best at One Show Design

Ceremony kicks off awards bonanza

Go Welsh, a Lancaster, Pa.-based studio, won best of show at The One Club's One Show Design ceremony Monday night, kicking off a spate of awards presentations scheduled for Creative Week.

The typographical entry was a work titled "Dear Bill"—a message printed on letterpress across arts activist and MacArthur "Genius" William Strickland’s 244-page book Make the Impossible Possible inviting the author to speak at the Society of Design, an educational nonprofit located in Harrisburg, Pa.

Other Gold Pencil winners across a range of categories including logo, poster, industrial, and indoor spatial design: ART+COM, BBDO Duesseldorf, BBDO New York, BlueMars-Gesellschaft, DDB Shanghai, Digital Kitchen, GBH Design, Grey Kuala Lumpur, iris, The Jupiter Drawing Room, JWT, MTV, Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles, Sandstrom, and Shaobin Lin.
