Sources believe the shops selected from the original 20 agencies and media buying services are: J. Walter Thompson; Grey Advertising; TeleVest, a unit of D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles; and The Media Edge, a unit of Young & Rubicam, all in New York; and Western International Media in Los Angeles. The business is currently split among eight to 10 shops nationwide.
