Geary Interactive Comes to New York

NEW YORK Geary Interactive, a West Coast shop with clients that include Eddie Bauer, Paramount Parks and 20th Century Fox, has opened an office here.

Laurie B. Arakawa, formerly director of account services in Geary's San Diego office, will be managing director of the New York facility. The agency also has a Las Vegas location.

Reporting directly to president and CEO Andreas Roell, Arakawa will oversee business development and account management operations for the market, which includes clients Trump International and M&T Bank.

Prior to joining Geary Interactive in 2004, Arakawa was a partner and worldwide management supervisor at Ogilvy Interactive in New York, where she worked with Fortune 500 clients such as IBM, Eli Lilly and GlaxoSmithKline.

She also worked for Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell in Orlando, Fla., as executive vice president and director of account services. Additionally, Arakawa served as director of marketing communications for Broadserve, a broadband start-up.
