Old Navy Selects, Banana Republic Looking
SAN FRANCISCO–Two Gap-owned clothing chains are following their parent’s lead in securing interactive ad help, with Old Navy selecting a shop last week and Banana Republic initiating its own search.
Old Navy tapped interactive shop Ad-Hoc Group, Sausalito, Calif., to develop the 300-store discount chain’s first Web site for launch during the first half of 1999.
“Our goal is to develop a Web site that our customers enjoy as much as the unique Old Navy store experience,” said Mitch Rhodes, the chain’s senior director of marketing.
