NEW YORK Foods From Spain has awarded its $1.5 million Spanish olive oil advertising account to G2, a unit of Grey, sources said.

The Spanish trade commission launched the review last month, when marketing director Jeffrey Shaw said it would look for a small to medium-size agency to promote the product. Other contenders were not disclosed.

While Italy enjoys a reputation as the bottler of the world’s best olive oils, too few Americans take note of the product’s origins, Shaw had said.
