Dojo, the young San Francisco agency, created the new role of president and hired one of the city’s account veterans to fill it: Marty Wenzell, former longtime group account director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
Wenzell started his career at Chiat/Day and Hal Riney before joining GS&P where he worked for 18 years before leaving in 2006. Most recently, Wenzell acted as a consultant to Nice Advertising, S.F., after leaving the Bay Area for client and agency roles at 22squared, Exemplum and Barkley.
Dojo was founded in 2009 by former Publicis Modem ecd Mauro Alencar and Geoff Edwards, an ecd and co-founder of T.A.G. The agency, which is part of Grupo ABC, Brazil, counts among its clients LG, Lucasfilm, Activision, Logitech and AT&T.
