Ford Motor Co. has tapped Jan Klug, former marketing communications manager for its Ford Division, to replace Jim Schroer, as vp-global marketing. Schroer left Ford to become executive vp-global sales and marketing at Daimler-Chrysler’s Chrysler Group.

Klug, 41, who joined Ford in 1998, after serving as senior vp and account director at the Chicago office of Leo Burnett, USA, led the 1999 marketing launch of the Ford Focus, currently the top-selling car in the world.
