Fisher Interactive Taps Spragins

Matt Spragins, a former exec with RealNetworks, has joined Fisher Communications as vp, general manager of Fisher Interactive Network, the division created in 2006 to bring the company's online assets together in an integrated platform.

In his new position, Spragins will be responsible for implementing the radio and TV owner's broadcast-to-broadband initiative across Fisher's network of station Web sites, 125 hyper-local community sites and mobile platforms.

Since 2006, Spragins served as senior director of product management for RealNetworks. Prior to RealNetworks, Spragins worked for AOL, where he served as principal product manager working on Netscape.

"Throughout his 14-year Internet career, Matt has used his leadership, strategic planning and marketing skills to deliver profits to his divisions," said Randa Minkarah, svp of business development at Fisher. "As an experienced product management executive, Matt is the ideal candidate to lead the Fisher Interactive team."
