FCC Says Genachowski 'Very Happy' Where He Is

It’s long been rumored that Julius Genachowski isn’t thrilled about his post as chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and didn’t want to stay in it more than a couple years.

And earlier this week, The Hill reported that Genachowski is being considered to become secretary of commerce, replacing Gary Locke, who is leaving to become the U.S. ambassador to China.
 
For now, though, the FCC is making a show of denying the rumors and emphasizing just how pleased Genachowski is in his current job.
