Alex Bogusky's resignation isn't the only personnel news today at MDC Partners and its agencies.
MDC's Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners has upped ecd Izzy Debellis (l.) and Edward Brojerdi to co-creative leaders of the New York agency.
Debellis had been ecd; Brojerdi was chief creative technologist.
They take over for Marc Lucas, currently CCO, who now moves to the role of digital cd for parent MDC. He joined he agency in December from Razorfish. Lucas declined comment.
"Izzy and Ed have formed a powerful creative partnership where they are able to combine great storytelling with digital innovation, to fully engage consumers in relevant, dynamic, and tangible ways," said Lori Senecal, agency CEO, in a statement. "This ideal partnership will allow us to deliver superior creativity, cutting edge digital technology and a clear competitive advantage."
Debellis is the creative leader on a number of key accounts including Vanguard, HomeGoods, Cablevision and NetJets.
Brojerdi joined this year, working on BMW, Puma and Armani Exchange, among others. Most recently, he developed "Twit Hit," a smartphone app that enables users to automatically follow someone on Twitter using Bump technology.
In terms of big account action, KBS+P has been quiet of late. It picked up work from Capitol One in December, but also lost Panasonic to Havas' Arnold around the same time. The shop's Trend Influence office in Atlanta added creative on the $27 million Church's Chicken account last month; its media unit already worked for the chain.
