Kelly, 44, will become part of the New York management team that includes co-CEOs Jeff Brooks and Pete Zillig and chief strategy officer Michael Fanuel. He starts this week and reports to Brooks and Zillig.

In revealing the hire, Brooks described Kelly as “a craftsman of big ideas and brand narratives, and is also deeply qualified to lead an agency in a digital age.”

The Havas shop’s clients include Reckitt Benckiser, Exxon Mobil, Jaguar, Charles Schwab, Kraft Foods and Heineken USA.
