NEW YORK Draftfcb has promoted Michael Fassnacht to the new role of global chief strategy officer at the IPG agency based in Chicago. He previously served as the shop’s chief customer intelligence officer.
 
In his new post, Fassnacht (shown) will help set overall corporate strategy while overseeing numerous global functions such as media, planning, customer intelligence, digital strategy, retail, promotion and CRM.
 
A 20-year industry veteran, he joined the agency in 2005 from Loyalty Matrix, an analytics firm he founded in 2002.
