DiNoto Lee has added three new clients in as many months--Upoc, Qtopics and NetCreations--with combined billings of more than $30 million.
Each assignment encompasses creative and media duties. (DiNoto Lee uses outside shops to buy media). The new clients selected the New York shop based on chemistry and past work for Icast.com, Dash.com and others.
Upoc, a New York wireless-communications company, chose DiNoto Lee over two other undisclosed shops, said Greg Clayman, vp, marketing. The shop will create both consumer and business-to-business advertising. Billings are estimated at $10-15 million.
Qtopics, with billings of $10 million, considered two other undisclosed shops, said Brian Martin, svp, sales and marketing. The South Plainfield, N.J., company offers a way for consumers to ask questions online.
For NetCreations, a New York firm that provides e-mail-marketing services, the shop will create print ads, collateral and direct mail, said principal Esther Lee. One other unidentified finalist competed, said Allison Fillmore, client executive vice president, marketing, who declined to discuss billings.
Reflecting on the new clients, Lee said each has a "clear and legitimate business goal and mission--something you feel is not only admirable, but achievable." The agency has more than doubled its billings in the past year to more than $90 million. As a result, it plans to expand its senior ranks and move into a larger space, said Lee. K
