A decade ago, twins Ryan and Russell Rommelfanger quit their jobs at Publicis and Sprint, respectively, to go into ad tech. After running a video-ad company called Kanopy for a couple of years, they pivoted back to the agency world, opening Envoy in 2011. The Irvine, Calif.-based digital shop brings ads and tech together by creating and marketing products for the likes of Vizio and Amazon.
