Havas’ Arnold has added Washington, D.C.-based National Journal to its roster following a review. The client had not previously worked with a lead agency.

Arnold will handle the business out of its office in McLean, Va.

The target audience has always been “Washington insiders,” and now National Journal is expanding to include nationwide professionals involved in politics and policy, an agency representative said.

An integrated effort across print, social media and online channels is on tap. New work will likely break in September to tout the redesign of the magazine (by Pentagram) and its expanded product portfolio.
