NEW YORK Fallon has named Darren Spiller chief creative officer. He had been regional ecd at Publicis Mojo in Melbourne, Australia.

Spiller (pictured) replaces Al Kelly, who was hired by the Publicis Groupe agency as ecd in 2007. Kelly is leaving Minneapolis-based Fallon this week.

“Our aim is to do brave work that makes a difference and that requires proven creative leadership,” said Chris Foster, agency CEO, in a statement. “We’ve made great strides these past 12 months; however, we see the opportunity to accelerate growth by taking a broader worldview of creativity.”

Spiller, who has created award-winning campaigns for clients such as Tourism Victoria, Nestle and Nike, begins his new job at Fallon later this spring.
