Carmichael Lynch has promoted group account director Craig Rowley to director of account management following a 14-month search to fill the position.

Agency president John Colasanti said he considered more than 100 candidates before promoting Rowley.

“I wanted to make sure he was the best guy out there,” Colasanti said to explain the protracted search. “He understands what I’m trying to do, and I understand what he’s going to do.”

Rowley, a five-year veteran of the agency, has been leading Carmichael Lynch’s Harley-Davidson and Porsche Cars North America accounts.

The position had been vacant since April 2001, when Roman Paluta was named the agency’s chief marketing officer.
