To coincide with the start of the summer driving season, CITGO Petroleum kicked off its 2009 consumer advertising campaign this month.

This year, consumers have extra incentive to pay close attention to the TV, radio and billboard advertisements, as they may see some familiar faces, the company stated. To highlight the fact that each of the nearly 7,000 CITGO stations is locally owned, the ads feature actual CITGO marketers and retailers from across the country.
