DETROIT DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler Group has consolidated its merchandising efforts at Omnicom Group's Alcone Marketing Group, according to a Chrysler representative.
The Irvine, Calif.-based sales promotion agency, which has had the Jeep and Chrysler brand accounts for nearly two years, was recently awarded the Dodge brand merchandise program. The budget was not disclosed.
Alcone bested six other undisclosed agencies in a review for the business, which was previously handled on a project basis, the Chrysler representative said.
Chrysler plans to expand its Dodge merchandising efforts, the representative said. Alcone will be responsible for strategic planning, creative for merchandise catalogs and Internet sites, e-store Web site development and hosting, fulfillment, in-bound telemarketing support, merchandise sourcing and custom manufacturing for all three brands.
